According to Arrow co-creator Marc Guggenheim, no actor invited to the end of the show declined the offer to participate. Although some actors ended up not being able, everyone at least wanted to.

“There were a variety of different actors in the life of the show that we wanted to see go back to the end and we just couldn't do it, because… It's funny. Nobody refused us. All the people we approached, and it wasn’t at the end, were doing another television show, ironically, or a movie, “Guggenheim told the Fake Nerd Podcast.

“Even people doing television shows, it was difficult to get them. For example, Katrina Law is a regular at Hawaii Five-0 and this production changed the sky and the Earth so that it was part of Oliver's funeral, whose schedule was so tight. In that, we shot the first half of the funeral without Katrina. Katrina went from the airport for hair and makeup while we shot half of this scene. ”

Guggenheim revealed that the involvement of Melissa Benoist and Grant Gustin (protagonists of Supergirl and The Flash, respectively) was also an incredible programming challenge for the production, as both had their own shows:

“Even Melissa and Grant's involvement was very, very challenging from a programming point of view, because they both also have their own shows. We performed as many miracles as we could. I would say that we ended up performing more miracles than I expected ”, said the producer.
