The most recent episode of HBO's Westworld saw a brief cameo for Game of Thones. Not only showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss were on the show, but Drogon, Daenerys Targaryen's favorite dragon also appeared.
Benioff and Weiss portrayed some Delos technicians discussing how to take a dragon to Costa Rica. Speaking to Variety, Westworld showrunner Jonathan Nolan revealed that this is not the first time anyone has planned a crossover between Game of Thrones and Westworld.

According to Nolan, George R.R.Martin, writer of The Chronicles of Ice and Fire, who inspired HBO's medieval fantasy series, is a huge fan of the program and had already launched the idea of crossover.
"George always said since the first season: 'We need to relate to Game of Thrones'. People forget that George was originally a TV writer and he appeared in the TV world where you occasionally have these cross shows, which fans would go crazy for, ”said Nolan.
In the 1973 film Westworld, which inspires the HBO science fiction series, Delos presented a medieval world. For Martin, this scenario would fit perfectly with a Game of Thrones story.
