Knock the killing bell at Mortal Kombat 11's new themed event

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and NetherRealm Studios today announce the new free Christmas themed event for Mortal Kombat 11.

The Winter Wonderland Tower (December 22-27) and New Year's Ring (December 28- January 2) events will be available within Time Towers mode as a free upgrade for anyone with the Mortal Kombat 11.

Both events will feature a range of themed modifiers, allowing players to unlock new character skins, module pieces, Christmas consumables and other in-game rewards.

• “Winter Wonderland” Tower Event (December 22-27): The event will feature three Towers with Killer Walking Stick-themed modifiers, Skier Tarkatans, Dead Cookie Men Skydivers, Explosive Snowmen, Christmas Trees, Pawns and Shooting Stars.

• “Ring in the New Year” Tower Event (December 28 – January 2): The event will feature three Towers that usher in the new decade, with themed party modifiers, including a Disco Ball, Champagne Bottles, Party Spoils, Fireworks and a digital clock counting down to the New Year.

• Kombat League: Mortal Kombat 11's ranked mode is currently in its sixth season, "Konquista Season", and is now available for all players to participate until January 7th. The next season of the Kombat League is scheduled to start on January 14.

Players can enjoy the festivities with the Kombate Pack, the best way to enhance their Mortal Kombat 11 experience with the new DLCs. Featuring six new characters, various skins and gear, and a week of early access to all content. The new characters that will appear in Mortal Kombat 11 through the Kombate Pack include, Joker (Early Access on January 28) and Spawn (Early Access on March 17), along with Sindel (now available), Terminator T-800 ( already available), Nightwolf (Available now) and Shang Tsung (Available now). All DLC characters and bonus skins will be available for individual purchases within one week of the early access period.

In Mortal Kombat 11, the story continues after the defeat of the ancient god Shinnok reveals Kronika, the guardian of time, who wishes above all to keep the balance between good and evil no matter what the consequences. To establish this balance between kingdoms, Kronika sees only one option: to erase the whole story and restart time. Through this narrative, players take on the role of various past and present kombatentes who need to join forces to defeat Shao Kahn's armies and solve the temporal crisis.

Brazil receives exclusive edition with Brazilian Portuguese voice acting and Kano Kangaceiro skin, available for free in all national editions of the game. Also available in physical form are the Premium Edition steelbook – which includes the Season Pass – and limited quantities of Kollector’s Edition with the Scorpion Mask replica. In addition, the release of the Nintendo Switch game has been confirmed in the country: in limited physical format in the regular edition or in digital format in the regular and premium editions through Nintendo official store priced in reais. The editions for Nintendo Switch are also entirely in Brazilian Portuguese.
