Avengers: Ultimatum was one of the biggest movie events of 2019. In addition to having the biggest box office of the year, the film managed to give an epic ending to the Infinity Saga, which culminated in the battle between the Avengers and Thanos.
However, according to an article on the Screen Rant website, the final battle of Avengers: Ultimatum has a hole in the road map related to time travel.

According to Screen Rant, the problem of the final Avengers battle: Ultimatum lies in the Masters of the Mystic Arts. This ancient group of wizards has always considered itself protective of reality itself, always defending the world from threats from the Multiverse.
“We channel the energy from other dimensions of the Multiverse,” explains the Elder to Doctor Stranger.
Better or worse? See if Star Wars 9 box office topped Avengers: Ultimatum
The Masters of the Mystic Arts played an important role in Avengers: Ultimatum, under the leadership of Doctor Strange. They brought the heroes back to the battlefield with the magical portals.
However, according to Screen Rant, they could have done much more. The site claims the characters could have used a portal to send the Gauntlet elsewhere, which would prevent Thanos control. And any of them could have done that, not just Doctor Strange.
According to Screen Rant, the alleged hole in the script gets even worse when the Avengers send the Jewels back to their respective timelines. The Masters could have done that, according to the site.
In Doctor Strange, Mordo explains that portals "allow travel through the Mutliverse." In other words, Masters can access other dimensions and planes of existence, including the different timelines that should be encountered by heroes.
It is possible that most Masters did not know that the Quantum Kingdom could be used for time travel. But Doctor Stranger certainly knew that, as he had witnessed 14 million alternative futures.
Director compares Star Wars 9 to Avengers: Ultimatum
According to Screen Rant, the reason Doctor Strange did not use the special technique may be related to the character's views.
He presumably witnessed the timelines in which he used the Masters and realizes that they would not guarantee the success of the venture.
The site further states that MCU writers seem to have forgotten the powers of the Masters and the use of magical portals, but this is a particular opinion of Screen Rant himself.
And you, what do you think?
