Supergirl, Flash, Monitor and Pariah were among the important characters of Crisis in Infinite Lands, original comic book series from DC Comics, by Marv Wolfman and George Perez, from 1985.

All of this was included in the CW version. But an important villain was absent: the Psychic Pirate. And showrunner Marc Guggenheim, explained why the character did not enter the Arrowverse crossover:

"I wish I could say that he has reached the preliminary stage," Guggenheim told the Fake Nerd Podcast. "Good! This is not true. He reached the draft stage. For the most part, he ended up … Well, he never made it out of the whiteboard. "

“We had stories, moments and scenes and everything,” continued Guggenheim. “But honestly, every time we talked about it, it seemed forced. It felt like we were doing it just because he's in the comics. That can't be the reason why we included someone, and it seemed like that. ”
