The Watchmen series on HBO was the second live action adaptation of Alan Moore's homonymous graphic novel.

However, unlike the Zack Snyder movie released in 2009, the show brought a whole new story but inspired by the comic book universe.

Unfortunately, the show did not have the presence of Owl, a striking character in the comic and who was also in the film played by Patrick Wilson

In a recent interview with Collider, creator Damon Lindelof revealed that there were plans for the Owl, but explained the reason for his absence.

“And I felt very strongly that Laurie needed to be on this show. And I felt very strongly that Manhattan needed to be on the show. And I felt very strongly that Veidt needed to be on the show. And we knew that the show's central character was Hooded Justice and his granddaughter.
